Dear Reader,

At the heart of Manannan’s intent is a desire to provide Manx political news and comment; to bring to the reader items our island media has made available through newspapers, radio, news-sites and blogs.

As a result, Manannan wishes to amuse, anger, entertain and inform, and in doing so, spark debate from our island inhabitants and beyond.

The deliberate choice of using the character Manannan Mac Lir as a pseudonym is due to Manannan’s name recognition on the Isle of Man, the mysterious nature of this mythical Celtic being, and his reputation as someone who looks on with interest at the affairs of our Island community.

But all work and no play would make Manannan a dull boy, so look out for articles, video clips, and music that will look at the cultural happenings within the Isle of Man.
